CTAO is a multicultural club open to all Lisle Senior High School students that celebrates the diversity of our student body. We recognize ethnic accomplishments, holidays, heroes and provide social opportunities for new, especially foreign, students who sometimes feel isolated. We learn appreciation of different cultures by sharing our diverse backgrounds, interacting with each other via parties, various social events, field trips to restaurants, museums, etc. We also promote racial tolerance with discussions of local and national diversity issues.
In the past CTAO has sponsored an annual new student breakfast, guest speakers on cross culturalism for our club and/or entire student body, created thematic artistic displays for the school, and taught a seminar in cross culturalism to club members.
This club provides continuance for Junior High BECAUSE members.
